Our Mission: Empowering Workers with Knowledge
Welcome to the Kuwait Indemnity Calculator. We created this platform with one simple but powerful mission: to help every employee in Kuwait understand, calculate, and claim their rightful end-of-service benefits.
Too many workers, both Kuwaiti nationals and expatriates, end their long years of service without knowing their exact indemnity entitlements.
Some anxiously accept whatever their employers offer, a figure that can sometimes be thousands of dinars less than what the law guarantees. Others get lost in complex legal language and confusing mathematical formulas, left wondering if they are being treated fairly.
We built this platform to change that. We believe that access to clear, accurate, and immediate financial information is a fundamental right, not a luxury.
Who We Are: A Story from the Private Sector
My name is Fahad Al-Mulla, and I’m the founder of this platform. For over 12 years, I worked as an HR manager and part-time web developer right here in Kuwait’s private sector, primarily in the tech and logistics industries.
Throughout my career, I witnessed firsthand the confusion and deep financial stress that employees experience when trying to navigate their end-of-service benefits.
I saw educated, experienced professionals engineers, managers, and technicians regularly get shortchanged on their indemnity payments. This wasn’t always through malice, though sometimes it was. Often, it was through a systemic misunderstanding (or misrepresentation) of Kuwait Labor Law, especially the provisions under Article 51 and Article 55.
The breaking point for me came about two years ago.
A close colleague, a senior engineer with 15 years of dedicated service, was planning his retirement. He was excited to return to his home country with his savings. His company presented him with his final settlement calculation, and he brought it to me, sensing something was wrong.
I was shocked. The calculation was based only on his basic salary, which had remained stagnant for years while his allowances for housing, transport, and other items had grown significantly. The difference between what he was offered and what he was legally owed was over 9,000 KWD.
He was devastated and afraid to challenge the company.
We spent an evening drafting a respectful but firm letter citing Article 55 of the labor law, which mandates that indemnity be calculated on total remuneration, not just basic pay. We attached a clear calculation.
The next day, management replied, calling it a “clerical error” and issuing the corrected amount.
That incident was the catalyst. I realized that if this could happen to a senior employee at a major company, it was happening to countless others who didn’t have an HR manager as a friend.
I decided to combine my HR knowledge with my web development skills to create a free, simple, and legally accurate resource that would prevent this from ever happening to anyone else. This website is the result of that decision.

The Legal Framework Behind Our Tool
Our calculations are not guesswork. They are built on a firm legal foundation based on official Kuwaiti legislation:
- Law No. 6 of 2010 (Kuwait Private Sector Labor Law)
- Article 51-54 (The core End-of-Service Indemnity Provisions)
- Article 55 (Defining “Remuneration” as total pay, not basic)
- Law No. 85 of 2017 (Prohibiting Social Security Deductions)
- All Ministerial Resolutions and amendments through 2025
We maintain close attention to legal updates to ensure our information reflects the current standards you would face in a labor court.

While the indemnity calculator is our core tool, we are constantly expanding our resources to serve Kuwait’s workforce better.

Our Vision for a Fairer Future
